Trees of Cloudbridge

This page provides a list of trees and plants in and around  Cloudbridge, a private cloud forest reserve in Costa Rica.

The reserve lies below Mt Chirripo, on the Pacific slopes of the Talamanca mountain range, between 1600 and 2600 meters. The climate and vegetation is Lower Montane, and the reserve consists of former pasture undergoing reforestation, secondary forest, and primary forest. Temperatures are fairly constant year round, with a daily range of about 15C to 25C. Rainfall is approximately 5000mm annually, ranging from 100mm in the drier months (December-April) to over 800mm in September or October.
